SPIGWAY EnI

The standard industrial gateway for connected sites.

SPIGWAY EnI is the baseline gateway of the SPIDEX platform. It sits between site equipment and the network, aggregating devices over industrial and wireless interfaces, converting protocols, running local rules and maintaining a single secure managed link to SPIEngine.

The problem

Why it exists

A site typically holds equipment from several vendors speaking several protocols, none of which reach a central system in a form anyone can use. Connecting each machine individually produces a set of one-off integrations that nobody can operate as a fleet.

Key capabilities
  • ·Aggregate mixed-vendor devices at one site
  • ·Convert industrial protocols to a normalised model
  • ·Run local rules and event handling
  • ·Buffer and forward through network outages
  • ·Maintain a managed, authenticated uplink
  • ·Full remote management through SPIEngine
Interfaces
EthernetRS485Modbus RTU / TCPBLEDigital I/OUSB
Deployment

Cabinet or DIN-rail mount at the site edge, connected to local equipment and a site uplink.

Security
  • · Distinct device identity
  • · Authenticated platform connection
  • · Encrypted transport
  • · Signed firmware images
  • · Access-controlled remote sessions
Platform integration

How it fits the stack

L2 · C3F

Runs the full C3F stack, including hardware abstraction, protocol management, telemetry normalisation, diagnostics and firmware lifecycle.

About C3F
L4 · SPIEngine

Registers into the SPIEngine device registry on provisioning. Monitoring, configuration, commands, OTA and brokered terminal access are all available from the console.
